About Us
The core group of Systems Wisdom LLC started more than 30 years ago at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Faculty with affiliations to the Wharton School of Business, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences collaborated on applying systems thinking approaches to consulting, research and education projects. Colleagues from many other universities, institutes, consulting practices, and for-profit companies joined with us which expanded our clients globally.
In 2013, Systems Wisdom LLC become independent from the University of Pennsylvania although several members continued to hold faculty appointments there. In that year, we also established a Systems Wisdom Sydney, Australia office led by one of our core Associate Consultants. In 2016, we established a relationship for consulting, education, and research with Thomas Jefferson University’s doctoral programs in Strategic Leadership and Complex Systems Leadership. In 2019, Sung-Won Paek of the Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia joined as an Associate Consultant and Director of Korean Projects. This established an expansion from Western-centered systems thinking to also Eastern-centered systems thinking.
In 2020, in the midst of the Covid-19 global pandemic, financial chaos, and social-political turmoil, we opened a new window by establishing the Systems Wisdom Korea office. We chose Korea, a lantern of the East in order to establish new system of thinking about health, economics, education and management based on Eastern and Western history, philosophy, and most fundamentally, love for humanity.
Systems Wisdom Korea aims to create a paradigm shift in thinking and practice by focusing on new ways to understand, intervene and navigate the complex and chaotic problems affecting organizational systems in Korea, Asia, and other global regions. By drawing from and integrating knowledge and understanding from politics, economy, society, culture, history, philosophy, religion, business, education, education, consulting, and research, Systems Wisdom Korea provides solutions to the most challenging problems.

What We Do
Education:
We design and deliver traditional, customized, and innovative education programs. We train our clients how to deliver education and to develop leaders within their organizations. We provide graduate-level education programs and executive training seminars and workshops for academic institutions, businesses, and public society organizations using systems thinking and design thinking.
Consulting:
We apply process-oriented systems and design-based consulting to solve and dissolve organizational problems. We guide clients from information to knowledge to understanding and wisdom in order to address their complex issues. We support organizational performance, growth and development by improving the proficiencies of an organization’s people, increasing profits, and meeting sustainability interests and goals.
Research:
We provide not only traditional techniques and frameworks of scientific methods and research, but also innovating frameworks, methodologies and tools for system and design thinking which are so important in the 4th Industrial Revolution. We respond to client needs for understanding and for improved performance by conducting systems-based research with design-based problem solving that engages stakeholder groups relevant to the client.

Systems Wisdom Korean Ltd is a community of professional Korean consultants, policymakers, practitioners, educators, researchers, and scholars. All members have deep expertise across a wide range of areas and disciplines. In cooperation with Systems Wisdom LLC in the United States, Systems and Australia, Wisdom Korea Ltd. works beyond Korea and Asia for management consulting, executive and leadership training, and professional courses in universities and private and public enterprises in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Brazil, Russia, India, China, Australia, and Middle Eastern countries.
Systems Wisdom Korea Ltd was founded by Eil-Chul Kim, former head of the Korea Hospital Management Information Research Institute, and Sung Won Paek, Associate Consultant and Director of Korean Projects at Systems Wisdom LLC, based on over ten years of collaboration in the globalization of Korean medical and healthcare systems.
